annoying ideas that have been floating around

i'm just gonna give them really simple names since i'll probably never touch on them but hey it's nice to dream.

oracle simulator

a friendship sim/rpg taking place in the same universe as aspen. it'd be about playing sort of as the guy behind the computer, managing superheroes and telling them where to go as well as how to fight.

the way that you treat them changes their behavior in battle, and in some cases the people they're willing to work with. a spiritual sequel to aspen.

i really wanna do this, and i kinda feel like i could. i just don't have a lot of ideas? i'm afraid i'm taking too much inspiration from darkest dungeon.

also,

really important to get aspen done before i try anything else.

especially something this complicated.

dnd is fucking complicated

a visual novel/rpg where you play a dnd campaign. hopefully a comedy with a bunch of 4th wall breaking where you try and fight the dm on dumb ass shit.

really unrealistic. not gonna happen. not unless i end up having a full-fledged studio with a team of nerds.

little dungeon academia

this is actually a friends' idea, but i'm really into it and i'd love to help them. from my understanding, it'd be a school sim/dungeon crawler taking place in a witch/wizard/warlock/wand touching place. people go into different schools for different types of magic instead of that sorting hat nonsense. (i.e. wizards wanting to focus on potions would go to potion school it's like... picking your magic major)

they had other ideas but i forgot them. might touch on this after we do our first project together, shit i dunno.

where is my son

a friendship sim taking place in the same universe as aspen and oracle simulator. a short, free sim about ignite trying to find shriek. i just really like ignite, ok?

i might work on this while working on aspen, not only to get a better grip on ren'py but also... i dunno why not. in a perfect world, i'd like to make aspen a fully fleshed out superhero universe like dc or marvel. but all i can really do is dream and work, right? 

this would take place after aspen's true ending, but before oracle simulator. in terms of like timeline bullshit.

writing a story

a friend came to me the other day telling me they had an idea in their head about a story for a while, but they were afraid to do anything since in the past someone told them their writing was terrible and they would never get published. first off, who fucking talks like that? like. just in general. this isn't fucking naruto, just live your best life and stop hurting people. but while this made me livid people like this exist, it had me thinking about how hard it can be to get yourself motivated to start writing. maybe you don't have an idea. maybe you think your writing is garbage. maybe you don't know how to write. well, i'm here to tell you that all of those insecurities are completely valid. but you shouldn't let them get in the way of having fun and doing what you want. here's some hot knowledge about aspects of my own creative writing process that'll hopefully help you and some of my friends out too. i'm mostly gonna talk about planning and n
